If you are driving, start from the center of Hitachi and take Route 6 (Sukagawa Highway) heading southwest. Continue for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 246. Merge onto Route 246 and follow the signs towards Bunkyo City. Upon entering Bunkyo City, stay on Route 246 until you see signs for Koishikawa Botanical Garden, located at 3 Chome-7-1 Hakusan. To reach Koishikawa Botanical Garden using public transportation, start by heading to the Hitachi Station. From Hitachi Station, take the JR Joban Line towards Toride.
