Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Ikebukuro Station, take the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line to Higashi-Ikebukuro Station. From there, it's a short walk to Sunshine City and the Sunshine 60 Building. Alternatively, the IKEBUS, a special community bus, has a route that stops at Sunshine City from Ikebukuro Station. Subway fare is approximately ¥170-¥200. IKEBUS costs ¥200 for adults and ¥100 for children.

  • Walking

    From Ikebukuro Station East Exit, Sunshine City is approximately a 10-15 minute walk. Follow the signs towards Sunshine City. Once inside Sunshine City, follow signs to the Sunshine 60 Building and the observatory. Take the elevator from B1 floor to the 60th floor.

  • Taxi

    A taxi from Ikebukuro Station to Sunshine City takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. The estimated fare is ¥1600-¥2000. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Sunshine 60 Building entrance.
