If you are driving, start from central Hitachi and head southeast on Route 6. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the junction with Route 50. Take Route 50 and follow the signs for Tokyo. This route will lead you towards Bunkyo City. Once you approach the city, navigate towards the Nezu area, where you will see signs for Nezu Shrine. The shrine's address is 1 Chome-28-9 Nezu, Bunkyo City, Tokyo 113-0031. There is limited parking available near the shrine, so arrive early if you can. Be aware that parking may incur a fee, typically around 500-1000 yen depending on the duration.

To reach Nezu Shrine using public transportation, take the JR Joban Line from Hitachi Station to Ueno Station. This journey will take approximately 1 hour. From Ueno Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line and take the train towards Yoyogi-Uehara. Get off at Nezu Station (there are signs in English to guide you). After exiting the station, head east for about a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs that will direct you to Nezu Shrine, which is located at 1 Chome-28-9 Nezu, Bunkyo City, Tokyo 113-0031. The total cost for this journey should be around 1,000 yen.

For those preferring bus travel, start from Hitachi Station and take a highway bus to Tokyo Station. This trip will take about 2 hours and cost around 2,000 yen. Once you arrive at Tokyo Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and get off at Kasuga Station. From there, you will need to switch to the Toei Oedo Line and get off at Nezu Station, which is just a short walk from the shrine.
