If you are driving from central Hizen, take Route 34 towards Mito. Continue straight for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach Mito City. Once in Mito, follow signs for Sannomaru area. The destination, Mito Castle Sannomaru Mito Domain School Kōdōkan, will be on your left at 1 Chome-6-29 Sannomaru, Mito, Ibaraki 310-0011. There is parking available nearby, but check for any fees which may apply.

From Hizen, take the JR Limited Express train bound for Mito Station. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Mito Station, exit the station and head to the bus terminal located outside. Take the bus heading towards Sannomaru (look for the signs indicating the Sannomaru route). The bus ride will take around 15 minutes. Get off at the Sannomaru stop, and the Kōdōkan is just a short walk from there at 1 Chome-6-29 Sannomaru.
