Car
If you are driving from the center of Iki, head towards the ferry terminal and take the ferry to the mainland. After disembarking, follow the signs to Route 382 and continue on this road. After approximately 1.5 hours, you will arrive at the junction with Route 19. Turn left onto Route 19 and follow it for about 30 minutes. Once you reach Shinshushinmachi Minochi, look for signs directing you to Minochi Dam. The dam is located at the coordinates 36.5730095, 138.0455618, so you can input this into your GPS for precise navigation. Expect to pay for the ferry, which costs around 1,500 yen per person.
Public Transportation
From your accommodation in Iki, make your way to the ferry terminal and take the ferry to the mainland. Upon reaching the mainland, use the local bus service from the ferry terminal to Nagano Station. From Nagano Station, board a train towards Matsumoto. At Matsumoto, transfer to a local bus that goes to Shinshushinmachi. The bus will stop close to Minochi Dam. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited. The ferry costs approximately 1,500 yen, and the entire public transport journey can take around 3-4 hours depending on transfer times.
