Getting There

    If you are driving from the center of Iyo, take Route 196 towards Imabari. Continue on Route 196 for about 30 minutes until you reach the Imabari area. Follow the signs for the Kurushima Strait. Once you arrive in Kouracho, look for 2 Chome-5-2, where Kurushima Strait Observatory is located. There is parking available near the observatory.

  • Train and Bus

    Start at Iyo Station and take the JR Yosan Line to Imabari Station. The train ride takes about 40 minutes. From Imabari Station, take the local bus (Shimanami Liner) towards Kouracho. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Kouracho stop and walk about 10 minutes to reach Kurushima Strait Observatory at 2 Chome-5-2 Kouracho. Note that the bus fare from Imabari Station to Kouracho is around 300 yen.

  • Taxi

    For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Iyo directly to the Kurushima Strait Observatory. The taxi ride from Iyo to the observatory usually takes around 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. The fare may range from 3,500 to 5,000 yen.
