If you're driving from the center of Kai, head south on Route 20 (Chuo Highway) towards Kofu. After about 15 km, take the exit towards Route 139, heading towards Itabashi City. Continue on Route 139 for approximately 10 km. Once you reach the junction with Route 17, merge onto Route 17 and follow the signs for Itabashi. After about 5 km, you will arrive at the site of Akatsuka Castle located at 5 Chome-35-25 Akatsuka, Itabashi City, Tokyo 175-0092. Parking is available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees which may apply.

Public Transportation
To reach Akatsuka Castle using public transportation, start by taking a train from Kai Station. Board the JR Chuo Line heading towards Tokyo and get off at Shinjuku Station (approximately 1 hour). From Shinjuku, transfer to the JR Saikyo Line and take the train towards Omiya, disembarking at Akabane Station (about 20 minutes). From Akabane Station, take the Tobu Tojo Line to Nishi-Eifuku Station (around 10 minutes). After exiting the station, it’s a 15-minute walk to the castle site, following the signs towards Akatsuka. Be aware of the train fares, which will total around 1,500 yen.
