Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to the Nara Prefecture. From Osaka, take the Hanshin Expressway to the Meishin Expressway. Continue on the Meishin Expressway and take the exit for Kashihara. Follow the signs to Kashihara City and then to Yoshidacho. The Mausoleum of Emperor Annei is located at 252 Yoshidacho, Kashihara, Nara 634-0829. There is parking available near the site, but be prepared to pay a small fee for parking, typically around 500 yen.

• Train

  For those using public transportation, take the Kintetsu Yoshino Line from Osaka or Nara. If you're starting from Osaka, board the Kintetsu Namba Line and transfer at Yamato-Saidaiji Station to the Yoshino Line. Get off at Kashiharajingu-mae Station. From the station, it is about a 20-minute walk to the Mausoleum of Emperor Annei. Follow the signs to the mausoleum, which will guide you through the residential area. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the station, which should cost around 1,000 yen.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, from Kashiharajingu-mae Station, you can board a local bus heading towards the Kashihara City area. There are buses that run frequently, and you will need to get off at the Yoshidacho stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the Mausoleum of Emperor Annei. Bus fares typically range from 200 to 400 yen depending on the distance.
