    From Koshi, head south on Route 57 toward Kumamoto city. After approximately 10 kilometers, follow signs for Kumamoto Castle (Kumamotojohirayagura). You will enter the Chuo Ward area. Once you reach the castle, you can park at the designated parking areas nearby. Please note that parking may incur a fee, so prepare for costs ranging from 500 to 1000 yen, depending on the duration of your stay.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    From Koshi, take the Kumamoto City Bus (line number 4 or 5) towards Kumamoto Station. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at Kumamoto Station, transfer to the Kumamoto City Tram (the green line) and ride to the 'Kumamotojo Shiyakusho-mae' station. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Kumamotojohirayagura. Ensure you have enough change for the bus fare, which is usually around 200 yen.

    If you prefer traveling by train, take the JR Kagoshima Main Line from Koshi Station to Kumamoto Station. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
