If you're driving, head towards Shimogyo Ward in Kyoto. Use a GPS navigation system and enter the address '301 Ogisakayacho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, 600-8095'. From central Kyoto, take Route 1 south and follow signs towards Shimogyo Ward. There is limited parking available near Genso-an, so be sure to check for any parking regulations in the area.

Public Transportation - Bus
For those using public transportation, take the Kyoto City Bus. You can catch bus number 205 from Kyoto Station. Ride until you reach the 'Ogisaka-cho' stop, which is about a 15-minute journey. After getting off, Genso-an is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs towards Ogisakayacho, and you will find Genso-an at 301 Ogisakayacho.

Public Transportation - Train
Alternatively, you can take the JR Nara Line from Kyoto Station to Tofukuji Station. From Tofukuji Station, transfer to the Keihan Main Line and take a train to Gion-Shijo Station. Once you arrive at Gion-Shijo, take bus number 201 or 203 towards Kyoto Station and get off at 'Ogisaka-cho'. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to Genso-an. Be sure to check the train schedules in advance as they may vary.
