    If you are driving from Kyoto city, take the Route 1 towards Nara and then merge onto the Route 162 towards Uji. Continue on Route 162 for about 30 minutes. As you approach the shrine, follow the signs indicating 'Kyoto Dai-jingū Shrine' and turn onto Teianmaenocho. The shrine will be on your left at 622 Teianmaenocho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared for a small fee (around 500 yen).
