There is parking available near the museum, but be aware that there may be a parking fee of approximately ¥500 for a few hours.

To reach the Kyoto Railway Museum via public transportation, first locate the nearest train station in the countryside, such as the JR Nara Line or the JR Sagano Line. Take a train towards Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the JR Sanin Main Line (also known as the JR Sagano Line) and get off at the Umekoji-Kyotonishi Station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the museum. Follow the signs towards the museum or use a map application for precise walking directions.
