Public Transportation
If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the JR San-In Line. Board the train heading towards Saga-Arashiyama. Get off at Umekoji-Kyotonishi Station, which is about a 5-minute ride. Once you exit the station, head north on Umekoji Park Road. The Kyoto Railway Museum is approximately a 10-minute walk from the station. Follow the signs leading to the museum.

From the center of Kyoto, take Route 1 (Kyoto City Loop) and head towards Shimogyo Ward. Follow the signs for Umekoji Park. As you approach Kankijicho, look for parking areas near the Kyoto Railway Museum. The museum is located on Kankijicho Street; parking is available nearby, making it convenient to explore the area.

Public Transportation
From Gion, take bus number 100 or 206 from Gion bus stop towards Kyoto Station. Get off at Kyoto Station and then transfer to the JR San-In Line, as mentioned above, to reach Umekoji-Kyotonishi Station. After disembarking, follow the walking directions to the museum.

If you are coming from Arashiyama, take Route 9 towards Kyoto. After about 30 minutes, you will reach the intersection of Kankijicho. Turn right onto Kankijicho, and follow the road signs to the Kyoto Railway Museum. There are signposted parking areas available for visitors.
