Getting There

    If you are starting from Nara Park, walk towards Kintetsu Nara Station and take the Kintetsu Nara Line train to Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, exit through the Central Gate and head towards the Karasuma Exit. Once outside, walk straight along Karasuma Street until you reach the intersection with Shichijo Street. Turn left onto Shichijo Street and continue walking for about 10 minutes until you see the Higashi Hongan-ji Temple on your right.

    From Nara, head to Nara Station and take the JR Nara Line to Kyoto Station. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Kyoto Station, follow the signs to the Karasuma Exit. After exiting, walk straight along Karasuma Street. At the intersection with Shichijo Street, turn left and continue walking for about 10 minutes. Higashi Hongan-ji Temple will be on your right.

    From Nara, go to Nara Bus Station and catch the bus bound for Kyoto Station. The bus ride takes around 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Kyoto Station, exit via the Karasuma Exit. Walk straight along Karasuma Street, and at the intersection with Shichijo Street, turn left. Walk for about 10 minutes, and you will find Higashi Hongan-ji Temple on your right.
