Car
If you are driving from central Kyoto, take the JR San-in Line from Kyoto Station towards Sonobe. After about 20 minutes, get off at Saga-Arashiyama Station. From there, follow signs to Route 162 (Sagatenryuji) and continue driving for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Rinsen-ji Temple at 33 Sagatenryuji Tsukurimichicho. There is parking available near the temple, but be aware that there may be a small fee.

Begin your journey at Kyoto Station. Board the JR San-in Line towards Sonobe, and ride for about 20 minutes to Saga-Arashiyama Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and look for bus stops nearby. Take the Kyoto City Bus #28 towards Saga-Tenryuji, and get off at the 'Sagatenryuji Tsukurimichicho' stop, which is about a 5-minute walk from Rinsen-ji Temple. The bus fare from the station is around 230 yen.

If you find yourself in the vicinity of Saga-Arashiyama Station, you can also opt to walk to Rinsen-ji Temple. From the station, head north along the street for approximately 1 kilometer, which should take about 15-20 minutes on foot. Follow the signs that lead towards 'Sagatenryuji' and you will arrive at the temple.
