Getting There

  • Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take the number 100 or 206 bus towards 'Higashiyama' or 'Gion'. Ride the bus for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the 'Higashiyama Kiyomizu' stop. From there, walk east along the main road for about 10 minutes until you reach Chishakuin, located at 964番地 Higashikawaracho.

  • Subway

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway towards 'Kokusai Kaikan'. Transfer at 'Karasuma Oike' station to the Tozai Line and head to 'Higashiyama' station. Upon exiting the station, take exit 1 and walk south for around 10 minutes to reach Chishakuin, located at 964番地 Higashikawaracho.

  • Walking

    If you are staying in the Gion area, simply walk south along Hanamikoji Street. Continue onto Shijo Street and then turn left onto Higashiyama Street. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Higashikawaracho. Chishakuin is located on this street at 964番地 Higashikawaracho.
