If you're starting from Kyoto Station, go to the bus terminal located just outside the main station. Take bus number 204 or 205, which goes towards Kitano Tenmangu. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the 'Murasakino' bus stop. From there, walk about 5 minutes towards the southeast on Murasakino Minamifunaokacho Street. Funaoka Onsen will be on your left at 82-1 Murasakino Minamifunaokacho.

From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line towards Kokusai Kaikan. Transfer at Kitaoji Station to the Kyoto City Bus. Take bus number 204 or 205 towards Kitano Tenmangu. Get off at the 'Murasakino' bus stop. Walk approximately 5 minutes to the southeast on Murasakino Minamifunaokacho Street, and you will find Funaoka Onsen on your left.
