Getting There

• Public Transport

  If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line (the green line) towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at the Sanjo Keihan Station. Once you exit the station, head east on Sanjo Street until you reach the intersection with Kawaramachi Street. Turn left onto Kawaramachi Street and walk north until you reach the next intersection with Shijo Street. Continue walking straight; this road will turn into Shimizu Street. After a short walk, you will reach Ishibe Kōji Road, located on your left at 463-34 Shimokawaracho, Higashiyama Ward.

• Walking

  If you are nearby, such as around Gion, you can walk to Ishibe Kōji Road. Start by heading north from Shijo Street onto Hanamikoji Street, which is lined with traditional wooden machiya houses. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with East Hanamikoji Street. Turn left and walk straight until you reach the next intersection. Ishibe Kōji Road will be directly ahead of you, just a few steps away. Look for the address at 463-34 Shimokawaracho, Higashiyama Ward.

• Bus

  From Kyoto Station, take bus number 100 or 206 towards Gion. Get off at the Gion bus stop. After disembarking, walk towards the east along Shijo Street, and then turn left onto Hanamikoji Street. Continue walking straight, and take a right onto Ishibe Kōji Road. The destination at 463-34 Shimokawaracho is just a short walk away.
