Getting There

  • Subway

    Start your journey by taking the Kyoto Subway from Kyoto Station. Board the Karasuma Line (green line) bound for Kokusaikaikan. After 4 stops, get off at the 'Higashiyama' station. This part of the journey takes approximately 15 minutes.

    After exiting Higashiyama station, take Exit 1. Once outside, turn left and walk towards the intersection. At the intersection, turn right onto Sanjo-dori Street. Continue straight for about 900 meters. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way.

    When you reach the intersection with Keage Avenue, turn left. You should see signs directing you towards the Keage Incline. Continue walking for about 400 meters.
