Getting There

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From Kyoto Station, take Bus 100 or 206 heading towards "Higashiyama". Get off at "Keage" bus stop. From the bus stop, walk east on Higashikomonozacho Street, and you will reach Keage Incline in about 5 minutes.

  • Public Transport (Subway)

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line to "Karasuma Oike" Station. Transfer to the Tozai Subway Line and ride to "Keage" Station. Exit the station and walk south along the road for about 10 minutes to reach Keage Incline.

  • Walking

    If you are near Nanzen-ji Temple, you can walk to Keage Incline. From the temple, head east on the main road for about 15 minutes. Follow the signs towards the Philosopher’s Path and then take a right onto Higashikomonozacho Street until you reach your destination.

  • Bicycle Rental

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops around Kyoto. From the city center, head east towards the Philosopher’s Path. Once you reach the path, follow it until you see signs for Keage Incline. The ride should take around 20 minutes.
