Getting There

  • Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take the city bus number 100 or 206. Both buses will take you to Nanzen-ji. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Nanzenji Eikando-michi' bus stop. From there, walk about 5 minutes east along the road, and you will reach the entrance to Nanzen-ji Temple.

  • Subway

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway to Karasuma Oike Station. Transfer to the Tozai Line and ride to the Keage Station. Exit the station and walk about 15 minutes to the north. Follow the signs to Nanzen-ji, which will lead you through a scenic area. You will arrive at the temple entrance.
