Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Fushimi Inari Shrine entrance, head towards the main pathway lined with torii gates. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with the road at the base of the hill. At this point, you will want to turn left onto Fukakusa Kaidoguchicho street. Follow this road for about 10 minutes. Araki Shrine will be on your right side at 12-3 Fukakusa Kaidoguchicho, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto, 612-0805.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    If you prefer taking a bus, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located just outside the Fushimi Inari Shrine entrance. Look for bus number 87 or 88, which travels towards Fukakusa. Board the bus, and after about 5 minutes, alight at the 'Fukakusa Kaidoguchicho' stop. From there, it's a short 2-minute walk to Araki Shrine, which will be on your left.
