Public Transportation - Train
If you're starting from Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line (local train) from Platform 3. The train ride to Tōji Station takes about 5 minutes. Once you arrive at Tōji Station, exit the station and turn left. Walk straight for about 10 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Tōji Temple on your right side.
Public Transportation - Bus
From Kyoto Station, head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Take bus number 206 or 208 towards 'Tōji Temple' (Tōji) and get off at the 'Tōji Temple' stop. The temple is just a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop; follow the signs leading to the entrance.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Kyoto Station, exit the station and head south towards Kujo Street. Turn left on Kujo Street and walk along it for about 15-20 minutes. You will pass by various shops and eateries. Continue straight, and you'll reach Tōji Temple, which will be on your left.
