Getting There

  • Car

    From Mount Fuji, take the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道) towards Kofu. The drive should take about 1 hour depending on traffic. Once you reach Kofu, take the exit for Route 139 towards Chichibu. Continue on Route 139 until you reach the entrance to Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park. There are signs along the way to guide you. Be aware that parking fees may apply at the park entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    From Mount Fuji, head to Fujiyoshida Station and take the Fujikyu Railway to Otsuki Station. This part of the journey will take approximately 30 minutes. At Otsuki Station, transfer to the JR Chuo Line towards Takao. Get off at Kofu Station, which is about a 30-minute ride. From Kofu Station, take a local bus towards Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park, which will take around 1 hour. Please check the bus schedule in advance as service may vary.
