Car
From central Yamanashi, take Route 20 heading towards Hokuto City. Continue on Route 20 for approximately 30 km until you reach the intersection with Route 141. Turn left onto Route 141 and drive for about 10 km. Look for signs directing you to 'Yato Castle' and turn right onto a smaller road that leads directly to the castle site. There is parking available near the entrance of the site.

Public Transportation
Start at Kofu Station, the main train station in Yamanashi. Board the JR Chuo Line train towards Matsumoto. Get off at Hokuto Station (approximately 40 minutes). From Hokuto Station, take the Fujikyu Bus bound for 'Yato Castle' (approximately 20 minutes). The bus will drop you off at a stop close to the castle site. Follow the signs to reach the entrance, which is a short walk away.
