If you are traveling by car, start by heading to the city of Kofu in Yamanashi. From the Chuo Expressway, take the Kofu IC exit. Once you exit, follow Route 20 towards the city center. Continue on Route 20, and then turn left onto Route 140. Follow the signs to Kōfu Castle. There is parking available near the castle ruins. Be aware that parking may incur a fee, so keep some yen handy.

For those using public transportation, you can take the JR Chuo Line from Tokyo or other locations in Yamanashi to Kofu Station. Upon arriving at Kofu Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal or taxi stand. You can take a local bus (Bus No. 100 or 120) towards 'Kōfu Castle.' The bus ride takes about 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, you can walk from Kofu Station to Kōfu Castle, which will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Be aware that the bus fare is around 200-300 yen.
