Car
If you're driving from Nara, take the Route 24 (Kizu River Road) towards Kyoto. Follow the signs for Kyoto and merge onto the Kyoto South Bypass (Route 1). Continue on Route 1 and then take the exit for Kankijicho. Follow the signs to Kankijicho, and you will find the Kyoto Railway Museum located at Kankijicho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, 600-8835. There's parking available nearby.

Public Transportation
From Nara, take the Kintetsu Nara Line train from Nara Station towards Kyoto. Get off at Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the JR West line and take the train to Umekoji-Kyotonishi Station. After exiting the station, it's a short 10-minute walk to the Kyoto Railway Museum. Just head west on Umekoji Street, and you will see the museum ahead.
