Walking
If you are starting from Nara Park, head southeast towards the main road, Sanjo-dori. Once you reach Sanjo-dori, turn left and walk along the road until you see the entrance to the Kofuku-ji Temple complex on your right. Continue walking straight into the complex, and you will see the Kofuku-ji Tokondo (Eastern Golden Hall) a short distance ahead.

From Nara Station, exit the station and head towards the east exit. Walk straight down the main street, Higashimuki Shopping Street, until you reach the end. At the end of the shopping street, turn right onto Sanjo-dori. Walk straight until you see the entrance to Kofuku-ji Temple complex on your left. Enter the complex, and Kofuku-ji Tokondo (Eastern Golden Hall) will be ahead.
