Car
If you are driving from central Osumi, take Route 220 heading south towards Minamiosumi. Continue on this road for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 449. Turn left onto Route 449 and follow the signs towards Cape Sata. After about 10 kilometers, you will see signs for Cape Sata Park. Once you reach the park's entrance, follow the road leading to the observation deck. Note that there is free parking available at the park.

Public Transportation
To reach Cape Sata Park by public transport, start at the nearest bus station in Osumi. Take a bus heading towards Minamiosumi. You will need to transfer buses at the Minamiosumi Station. From there, catch the bus heading to Cape Sata. This bus runs several times a day, but check the schedule in advance as it may vary. The bus ride from Minamiosumi Station to Cape Sata will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cape Sata Park stop, it is a short walk to the observation deck. Ensure you confirm the last return bus from Cape Sata to avoid being stranded.

If you prefer a more direct and convenient method, consider taking a taxi from Osumi to Cape Sata Park. The taxi ride will take approximately 50 minutes, depending on traffic. Be aware that taxi fares can be expensive, typically costing around ¥7,000 to ¥10,000 one way. It's advisable to confirm the fare beforehand with the driver. Taxis are a great option if you are traveling in a group, as the cost can be shared.
