Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Gomen Station, take a bus for approximately 10 minutes to reach the vicinity of Ki no Tsurayuki Residence Site. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the Kokinshu Garden. Kochi Streetcar also goes to Gomen station. A day pass for the streetcar is ¥500 within the city limits, and ¥1000 for the full route.

    From Gomen Station, a taxi ride to the Kokinshu Garden takes around 5-10 minutes. The estimated fare is ¥1,000-¥1,500. Taxis are readily available at the station.

The Kokinshu Garden is a tranquil tribute to Ki no Tsurayuki, a prominent figure known for his contributions to the Kokin Wakashū (Collection of Ancient and Modern Japanese Poems) and as the author of the Tosa Diary. This garden is located in Hie, Nankoku, Kochi Prefecture, near the site believed to be Tsurayuki's former residence.
