Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Shirakawa-go, head southeast on Route 156. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction. At the junction, take a left onto Route 471. Follow this road for approximately 30 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views of the mountains and rice paddies. You will eventually merge onto Route 158. Continue for about 10 more kilometers, and then you will see signs for Takayama. Keep following the signs until you reach Kamisannomachi in Takayama, where Harada Brewery is located at 10 Kamisannomachi. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that it may incur a small fee.

  • Bus

    To reach Harada Brewery by public transportation, you can take the Nohi Bus from Shirakawa-go. Board the bus at the Shirakawa-go bus terminal, and purchase a ticket to Takayama. The journey takes about 50 minutes and costs approximately 2,000 yen. Once you arrive at Takayama bus station, exit and walk towards the Old Town area. Harada Brewery is about a 15-minute walk from the station. Head northeast on Route 158, then turn left onto Kamisannomachi. Continue straight, and you will find the brewery at 10 Kamisannomachi.
