Train
Start your journey at any station in Tokyo and head to Ikebukuro Station via the Yamanote Line (the loop line connecting major city centers). Once at Ikebukuro Station, transfer to the Tobu Tojo Line and take a train towards Kawagoe. Get off at the Akatsuka Station, which is approximately a 10-minute ride. From Akatsuka Station, exit the station and turn right onto Route 254. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach a small park area. The site of Akatsuka Castle is located in this area.

From Ikebukuro Station, take the bus from the East Exit. Look for the bus stop for the 'Toei Bus' line, and board a bus heading towards Itabashi and Akatsuka. The bus ride should take around 25 minutes. Get off at the Akatsuka 5-chome bus stop. Once you disembark, walk straight for about 5 minutes down the main road. The site of Akatsuka Castle will be on your left, just beyond a small park.
