Getting There

  • Walking

    From Shinjuku Station, take the East Exit. Once you exit, head straight until you reach the intersection with Shinjuku-dori Street. Turn right and continue walking for about 500 meters. You will see the entrance to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden on your left at 11 Naitomachi, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 160-0014. The garden is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the station.

  • Metro

    If you prefer taking the metro, you can take the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line from Shinjuku Station. Board the train towards Ikebukuro and travel for just one stop to Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station. The ticket costs around 200 yen. After you exit the station, take the exit number 1, and you will find the entrance to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden a short walk away, about 5 minutes.
