Getting There

Car
If you're driving from central Yamanashi, take the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道) towards Tokyo. Exit at the Hachioji Junction and merge onto the Ken-O Expressway (圏央道) towards Hinohara. Continue on Ken-O Expressway until you reach the Hinohara Exit. After exiting, follow Route 33 for approximately 15 minutes. Look for signs directing you to Mito Falls (水と緑のふれあい公園) which will lead you to the parking area near the falls.

Public Transportation
Start at the JR Otsuki Station (大月駅) in Yamanashi. Take the Fujikyu Railway (富士急行) to the Takato Station (高遠駅). From there, board the Hinohara Village bus (日の原村バス) which will take you directly to Mito Falls. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately 500 yen. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited.

After arriving at the parking area by car or the bus stop near Mito Falls, follow the clearly marked path leading to the falls. The walk is about 10-15 minutes and is relatively easy, making it accessible for all age groups.
