Car
If you are driving from central Yamanashi, take Route 20 (Chuo Highway) towards Tokyo. Continue on Route 20 until you reach the Nishitama area. Take the exit for Route 33 towards Hinohara. Follow Route 33, and look for signs directing you to Hinohara Tokyo Citizens' Forest. The parking lot is available on-site, but please note there may be a parking fee of around 500 Yen.

Train and Bus
Start your journey at Kofu Station, which is the main train station in Yamanashi. Take the JR Chuo Line towards Tokyo and get off at Takao Station. From Takao, transfer to the Keio Line and take a train to Hashimoto Station. At Hashimoto Station, board the Nishi-Tama Bus (Nishi-Tama Kotsu) bound for Hinohara. The bus journey will take about 50 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services can be limited. The bus fare is approximately 1,000 Yen one way.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Yamanashi directly to Hinohara Tokyo Citizens' Forest.
