Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    From Yamanashi Station, take the JR Chuo Line towards Takao Station. This journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Takao Station, transfer to the JR Chuo Line Limited Express to Otsuki Station, which will take roughly 30 minutes. At Otsuki Station, switch to the Fujikyu Railway and take the Fujisan Limited Express train to Mitsumineguchi Station, which takes around 1 hour. From Mitsumineguchi Station, you can take the local bus that goes directly to Mitsumine Shrine. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Keep in mind that the last bus leaves Mitsumineguchi Station in the early evening, so plan your visit accordingly.

    If you are driving, start from Kofu, Yamanashi. Take the Chuo Expressway and head towards Otsuki. Continue on Route 139 and then Route 299 towards Chichibu. Follow the signs to Mitsumine Shrine. The total driving time is about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. There is parking available at the shrine, but it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends and holidays.
