Bicycle
Start at the Kisumu City Centre. Head south on Oginga Odinga Road until you reach the junction with Kenyatta Avenue. Turn right onto Kenyatta Avenue and proceed towards the lakefront. Continue riding along the lakefront until you reach the Kisumu Pier. From there, you can rent a boat that will take you directly to Ndere Island National Park. The boat ride typically takes around 30 minutes.

Find a matatu at the Kisumu Bus Station that is heading towards Dunga Hill or Ndere Island. Board the matatu and inform the conductor that you want to go to Ndere Island National Park. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you reach the Dunga Hill area, you will need to disembark and walk to the Kisumu Pier to catch a boat to the island.

If you are near the lakefront, you can walk to Kisumu Pier from the city centre. Head towards the lake and follow the path along the waterfront.
