Car
From any location within Mount Kenya National Park, head towards the Nanyuki - Meru road (A2). Take the turnoff towards Nanyuki town. Follow the A2 road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction for the Ndare Forest. The turnoff is marked, and you will see signs indicating Ndare Forest. Turn left onto the dirt road and continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Ndare Forest. Be prepared for some rough patches along this road, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared minibus) from Nanyuki town towards Meru. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the Ndare Forest turnoff. From there, you will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers along the dirt road to reach the forest entrance. It is advisable to arrange for a local guide or transport from the turnoff to the forest if you have large luggage or prefer not to walk.
