Car
From your location in Mount Kenya National Park, take the main road towards Nanyuki and head southeast. Continue on the Nanyuki-Meru road (A2) for about 30 kilometers until you reach the Timau area. Look for the signs for Ngare Ndare Forest Park as you approach Timau. The entrance is located at coordinates 0.1740831, 37.3342131. Make sure to have cash on hand, as there may be an entry fee for the park.

Public Transportation
If using public transportation, head to Nanyuki town first. You can take a matatu (shared taxi) from anywhere in Mount Kenya National Park to Nanyuki. Once in Nanyuki, look for matatus heading towards Meru. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Timau. The journey will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. After reaching Timau, you may need to hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) or a local taxi to take you the remaining distance to Ngare Ndare Forest Park entrance, which is about 10 kilometers away. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride.
