Getting There

  • Car

    Start from the Mount Longonot National Park entrance. Head southeast on the Old Naivasha Road (A104) for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction for Suswa. Turn left onto the Suswa Road and continue for approximately 20 kilometers. Follow the signs for Mount Suswa Conservancy. The entrance to Mount Suswa Hiking and Camping will be on your left.

  • Public Transportation to Suswa

    From Mount Longonot, take a matatu (shared minibus) from the nearest bus stop heading towards Naivasha. Ask the conductor to drop you at Suswa junction, which is approximately 10 kilometers from Naivasha town. From Suswa junction, you can either walk or hire a motorbike taxi (boda-boda) to take you to Mount Suswa Conservancy, which is about 10 kilometers away.

  • Boda-Boda (Motorbike Taxi)

    If you prefer to use a boda-boda from the Suswa junction, negotiate the fare beforehand. The ride to Mount Suswa Conservancy should cost around 200-500 Kenyan Shillings depending on your negotiation skills and the distance. Ensure the driver knows the exact location of the Conservancy.

  • Walking

    If you choose to walk from Suswa junction to Mount Suswa Conservancy, it is approximately a 10-kilometer walk. Follow the main road and look for signs to the conservancy. This option may take around 2-3 hours, so plan accordingly and carry enough water.
