Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Nairobi City Centre, head north on Uhuru Highway. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Kenyatta Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the Uhuru Park entrance. Take the second exit onto Ngong Road and walk for approximately 1 kilometer. You will see a sign for Muthaiga. Turn right into Muthaiga Road and after about 500 meters, you will see the entrance to Karura Forest Gate A on your left.

  • Public Transport (Matatus)

    From the Nairobi City Centre, find a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Muthaiga. You can catch matatus at the Kencom bus station. Board a matatu labeled 'Muthaiga' or 'Kilimani'. The fare is usually around 50-100 KES. Ask the conductor to drop you at the Muthaiga roundabout. From the roundabout, walk down Muthaiga Road for about 500 meters until you reach Karura Forest Gate A on your left.
