Walking

From the Liepāja city center, begin near the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra building on Jāņa iela. Head east until you reach Zivju iela, then turn left. Continue straight until you reach the beach area. Turn right and walk along the shoreline; the Northern Breakwater will be visible in the distance after approximately a 30-minute walk. There are no costs associated with walking.
Public Transport

From the center of Liepāja, go to the nearest bus or tram stop. Take a bus or tram that heads towards the beach area. Bus number 7 will bring you close to the Northern Breakwater. Alight at the Jūrmalas iela stop. Walk south towards the coast and follow the beach path; the Northern Breakwater is approximately a 15-minute walk. A one-way ticket purchased in advance via the “Liepājas pilsēta” app costs €0.90; a ticket purchased from the driver costs €1.50.

From Liepāja city center, a taxi ride to the Northern Breakwater typically takes 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxi services are readily available throughout the city. A 5km ride in Liepaja will cost about 4.7 EUR. The base fare is around €1.00-2.00, with an additional charge of approximately €0.70-1.00 per kilometer.
Car

Drive towards Karosta, following signs for Ziemeļu mols (Northern Breakwater). A large parking lot is available near the breakwater. Parking rates in municipal paid parking lots are typically €0.50 for the first hour and €0.50 for each subsequent hour, during operational hours (weekdays and Saturdays from 08:00 to 18:00). Parking is free on Sundays and public holidays, and outside of operational hours. Some free parking options are available nearby.
