Walking
If you are starting from the central train station (Riga Dzelzceļa Stacija), exit the station and head southeast on Jāņa Poruka iela. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Brīvības iela. Turn left onto Brīvības iela and walk for another 300 meters. You will see the entrance to the beautiful Vērmanes Garden on your right. Continue straight until you reach the end of Brīvības iela, where it intersects with the Freedom Monument. From there, Pils laukums is just a short walk away. Head towards the Old City, passing the monument, and then take a right onto Šķūņu iela. Pils laukums will be at the end of this street, right next to the Riga Castle.

Public Transport
If you are near the Riga Old Town, take tram line 1 or 2 from the 'Rātslaukums' stop, which is close to the House of Blackheads. Ride for just one stop and get off at 'Pils' stop. From the tram stop, walk straight for about 200 meters, and you will arrive at Pils laukums, which is situated right next to the Riga Castle.
