Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Baalbek city center, make your way to the main square (Al-Hamra Square). From the square, head northeast on Al-Hamra Street. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the main road (Beirut-Baalbek Highway). At the intersection, turn right onto the Beirut-Baalbek Highway. Walk for another 500 meters, and you will see the entrance to the Baalbek Roman Ruins on your left. The entrance is marked with signs, and you will see the iconic columns from a distance.

    From the Baalbek city center, head to the bus station located near Al-Hamra Square. Look for a bus heading towards the Baalbek Roman Ruins or one that has 'Baalbek' on its destination. The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive, disembark at the stop closest to the ruins, which is usually marked with signage. Follow the signs leading to the entrance of the Baalbek Roman Ruins, approximately a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
