From the center of Bar Harbor, start by heading south on Main Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with West Street. Turn right onto West Street. Continue walking along West Street until you reach the entrance of Acadia National Park. Keep walking until you find yourself at the scenic viewpoint for Thunder Hole, which is well marked with signs. The total distance is about 1 mile and should take you approximately 20-25 minutes on foot.
