Car
To reach the Oceanarium and Education Center by car, start from the center of Bar Harbor. Head west on Main Street and take a right onto ME-3 (also known as the Bar Harbor Road). Continue on ME-3 for approximately 2 miles. The Oceanarium will be on your right at 1351 ME-3. Look for the large sign indicating the entrance. Parking is available on-site.

If you're using public transportation, check local bus schedules for the Island Explorer service, which operates during the summer months. Board the bus at any of the designated stops in Bar Harbor, and take the route that heads towards the Acadia National Park. Request to stop at the Oceanarium, which is a designated stop along the ME-3 route. Fares are typically free, but please confirm current rates or schedules before your trip.

For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Bar Harbor. Start from downtown Bar Harbor and head west on Main Street, which will lead you to ME-3. Follow ME-3 for about 2 miles. The Oceanarium will be on your right. There are bike racks available for parking your bicycle once you arrive.

If you're nearby and wish to walk, head west from the center of Bar Harbor on Main Street until you reach ME-3. Turn right and continue walking for about 2 miles. The Oceanarium will be on your right. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated, especially on warm days.
