Walking
If you are starting from the Bar Harbor Village Green, head southeast on Main Street towards Eden Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach Eden Street. Turn right onto Eden Street and walk for another 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 3. Cross over to the other side of Route 3 and continue walking straight. After about 1 mile, you will see a sign for Oak Hill Road. Turn left onto Oak Hill Road and walk for approximately 0.2 miles. The Somesville Museum and Gardens will be on your left at 2 Oak Hill Rd, Mt Desert, ME 04660.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can start at the Bar Harbor Village Green and follow the same route as walking. Ride southeast on Main Street towards Eden Street. After about 0.5 miles, turn right onto Eden Street. Continue cycling for another 0.5 miles until you reach Route 3. Carefully cross Route 3 and continue straight for about 1 mile. Look for the sign for Oak Hill Road, then turn left onto Oak Hill Road. The Somesville Museum and Gardens will be approximately 0.2 miles down the road on your left.

Public Transport
You can take the Island Explorer bus service, which is a free shuttle service in the Bar Harbor area. Board the bus at any local stop and ask the driver for the stop closest to Somesville. The bus will take you along Route 3. Once you get off, walk along Route 3 heading towards Oak Hill Road. After about a 10-minute walk, turn left onto Oak Hill Road and you will find the Somesville Museum and Gardens on your left at 2 Oak Hill Rd, Mt Desert, ME 04660.
