If you are driving, start your journey from the nearest major city, which is Blantyre. Take the M1 highway towards the north until you reach the junction for the M5 road. Continue on the M5 for approximately 70 km until you reach the town of Nkhatabay. From Nkhatabay, follow the signs to Livingstonia. The road to Livingstonia is steep and can be challenging, so drive cautiously. Once you arrive in Livingstonia, head to C47C+F3R, where the Manchewe Waterfalls are located. There is a parking area nearby.

To reach Manchewe Waterfalls using public transport, first take a minibus from Blantyre to Nkhatabay. The journey takes about 2-3 hours and costs around MK 2,500. Upon arrival in Nkhatabay, look for a minibus or a taxi heading to Livingstonia. This leg of the journey may cost an additional MK 1,000 to MK 2,000 and takes another 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Livingstonia, you can either walk to the waterfalls, which is approximately a 30-minute walk, or hire a local guide or taxi for a more comfortable experience.

For the adventurous, if you're already in Livingstonia, you can hike to the Manchewe Waterfalls. From the center of Livingstonia, head towards the direction of the waterfalls, following local trails.
