    From the nearest major city, Lilongwe, head south on the M1 road towards Balaka. Continue on the M1 for approximately 160 km until you reach the junction for Nkhotakota. Turn right onto the M5 road towards Nkhotakota. Once in Nkhotakota, follow the signs to Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve. You will need to pay an entrance fee to the reserve, which is approximately 5,000 MWK for foreign visitors. After entering the reserve, Kachenga Bush Camp is located within the reserve, about 10 km from the entrance. Follow the park roads, and keep an eye out for signs directing you to the camp.

    From Lilongwe, take a minibus or coach heading to Nkhotakota. The fare is typically around 1,500 MWK. Once you arrive in Nkhotakota, you will need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a pickup to take you to Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve. The taxi fare to the reserve is approximately 2,000-3,000 MWK. Upon arriving at the reserve, you will need to pay an entrance fee, which is around 5,000 MWK for foreign visitors. After entering the reserve, Kachenga Bush Camp is located about 10 km inside; you may need to arrange with the camp for a pickup or follow the signs to reach the camp.
