Car
If you are driving, start from the main entrance of the C&O Canal National Historical Park located at 11710 MacArthur Blvd, Potomac, MD 20854. From there, head south on MacArthur Blvd for approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto the parking area for the Billy Goat Trail (Section C). After parking, there is a trailhead that leads into the park. Follow the signs for Billy Goat Trail Section C, which will lead you towards the overlook.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Metro to the Grosvenor-Strathmore Station (Red Line). From there, you can catch the Ride On Bus #34 towards Glenmont Metro Station. Get off at the stop at MacArthur Blvd and Democracy Blvd. From this stop, it is about a 15-minute walk to the Billy Goat Trail Section C parking area. Head south on MacArthur Blvd until you reach the trailhead. Once you’re on the trail, follow the path marked for Section C to reach the Victory Island Overlook.
