    From any point in the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, head towards Harpers Ferry Road (MD-340). If you are at the Visitors Center, take the main road out towards MD-340. Once you reach the intersection with Harpers Ferry Road, turn left. Continue on Harpers Ferry Road for approximately 3 miles. You will see the Maryland Heights Trailhead on your right at the address 489-551 Harpers Ferry Rd, Knoxville, MD 21758. There is parking available at the trailhead.

    If you're using public transportation, you can take the MARC train from Washington, D.C. towards Martinsburg. Get off at the Harpers Ferry station. From the station, you can walk towards Harpers Ferry Road, which is about a 1-mile walk. Once on Harpers Ferry Road, continue walking towards the Maryland Heights Trailhead, which is located at 489-551 Harpers Ferry Rd, Knoxville, MD 21758. It should take you about 20 minutes to walk there from the train station.
