Car
If you are driving, head towards Tschiffely Mill Road (13201 Tschiffely Mill Rd, Poolesville, MD 20837). From the main entrance of Seneca Creek State Park, follow the signs towards the C&O Canal Towpath. Drive approximately 3 miles until you reach the intersection with Tschiffely Mill Road. Turn left onto Tschiffely Mill Road. Continue for about 1.5 miles, and you will see the parking area for Seneca Mill and Quarry Ruins on your right. This area typically does not have a parking fee.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Metro to the Rockville station on the Red Line. From there, you can catch a Ride On bus (Route 47) towards Poolesville. Get off at the stop closest to Tschiffely Mill Road. From there, it’s about a 1-mile walk to the ruins. Walk north on Tschiffely Mill Road until you reach the entrance to the site. Note that you may need to check the latest bus schedules for availability and any required transfers.

Biking or Walking
For those who prefer biking or walking, you can access the C&O Canal Towpath from within Seneca Creek State Park. Follow the Towpath upstream until you reach the Seneca Aqueduct. From the aqueduct, continue north on the Towpath until you see signs for Seneca Mill and Quarry Ruins. This route is approximately 2 miles long and offers scenic views along the creek. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, especially if walking.
